Caldecott Productions International takes 14 new titles to MIPCOM

Singapore: MediaCorp's HD company, Caldecott Productions International brought 14 new titles to MIPCOM.Amazing Women of Asia is a series of five documentaries including The Bare-Footed Women who Make Light, Battle for Our River, With These Two Hands, Born Female and Water, Woman & 1000 miles which highlight women who have put aside their own needs for the family, community or cause they strongly believe in.Extraordinary Trailblazers of Asia and Little Heroes of Asia are two series showcasing contributions of ordinary people and children to their social environment. No one needs to die, Budhia and Pooja and Little Fame explore issues arising from urban poverty, child marriages and health care.Focusing on China in the lead up to the Beijing Olympics 2008, the slate also includes: Tea Appreciation, a story on tea focusing on how its quality is determined, the varieties and appreciation; Little Red Art, a story of two artists' opinions and perspectives on China during the cultural revolution and the present day; Scissorhands showcases three famous paper artists in China; and Made in China is about the copy artists in Dafen Village, southern China, who copy oil paintings for the mass market.Unique Asia is a series of five documentaries that views Asia from a different perspective: The Skinheads of Asia provides insight into a group of Asians deliberately marginalizes themselves from mainstream society; Trafficking: Demand & Supply is a series of three stories that highlights the crimes committed against women and children; Secrets of the Palace is about the legend of the Queen of the South Sea, the Kraton Palace and Mount Merapi to showcase the lives of the Javanese; Slum City is a documentary on how a slum functions as a mini-city on its own; and The Village H.E.L.P. is about the universal human struggle against nature and self in the attempt to break out of poverty.
